Banana Churros-Style Donuts

Difficulty: Easy - Preparation: 20 min - Cooking: 10 min

Materials:

  • 2 bowls
  • Deep fryer or frying pan

Ingredients:

  • 5 bananas from Guadeloupe & Martinique
  • 1 egg
  • 200 g of breadcrumbs
  • 50 g of sugar
  • 1/2 liter of oil for frying (sunflower or rapeseed)

Preparation:

  1. Cut both ends of the bananas then cut them in half.
  2. Crack an egg into a bowl, beat it, then pour the breadcrumbs into a second bowl.
  3. Pass each banana cylinder through the beaten egg and then the breadcrumbs and set aside.
  4. Heat the oil in a deep fryer (or alternatively in a frying pan).
  5. Once the oil is hot, place the banana fritters in it. Turn them regularly to ensure they cook evenly.
  6. Once the donuts are golden brown, place them on a plate covered with absorbent paper. Then sweeten them generously.

Enjoy plain or with melted chocolate.
